P3 Magnets

In science we have been learning about magnets.

We found that materials that ‘stick’ to magnets are called Magnetic.  We tested lots of different materials and found that most, but not all metals are Magnetic.  Paper clips are magnetic, but metal cake cases are not.

Results are displayed in a table.

We were challenged to use magnets to make a car move without touching.  It was very tricky, but eventually we cracked it.  We can't show you pictures, just incase P2 are looking!  If you want to know how- just ask.

Here is Ross playing Mrs Ferguson’s Magnetic game.  It was fun, but we thought we could do better.  Take a look.
